General
What
is it?
Fun fun fun!
A weekend where anyone interested in the sport of hydrofoiling can get
together and have fun both on and off the water. Get some tips from other
riders, learn to foil for the first time, meet other foilers from around
Australia. A flyin is not a competition, simply a get together of anyone
sharing an interest in the sport of hydrofoiling.
Who's
it for?
Whether you
are a seasoned hydrofoil veteran or a first timer, everyone is welcome. Even if you don't own your own hydrofoil, this is a great opportunity to spend the weekend trying all the different foils on the market before making your own purchase.
What
do I bring?
Sunscreen
and board shorts are the bare minimum. Any personal equipment such as foils,
ropes, vests, helmets etc as you desire. In addition, there will be a
hydrofoil 'swap meet' where people are encouraged to bring any foiling
or ski related products they wish to sell.
What
happens when I arrive?
You must
register your details and receive a wristband at the registration tent
before you can start riding.
What
is included with the registration fee?
The registration
fee will cover the cost of fuel and boat costs for the 3 days, plus
at least one meal.
Accommodations
& meals?
You are required
to arrange your own accommodations. We encourage everyone
to stay at the Tweed River Motel.
What
about drinks?
No alcohol
is permitted in or around the boats at any time.
